Dr. Maksimov is President of Columbia Pain and Spine Institute. His primary focus is to provide high quality diagnosis and treatment of painful spinal conditions, pain relief and functional restoration. Dr. Maksimov is a board certified physician by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

He completed his physiatry residency at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY. He continued sub-specialty studies at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania Interventional Spine fellowship. Dr. Maksimov practices evidence based algorithms using physical modalities, medications and minimally invasive spine procedures for diagnosing and treating back and neck pain disorders.

Dr. Grattan is a fellowship trained and double board certified pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. His training was completed at Loma Linda University known for a focus on whole person care. He uses this training to address the multiple facets of the patients’ lives that are contributing to their suffering.

Dr. Grattan uses multiple diagnostic and treatment modalities to accomplish functional improvements above and beyond pain control, including NCS/EMG, fluoroscopically guided injections and radiofrequency ablation to name a few. He is comfortable treating all painful conditions and works to minimize opioid pain medications.
